Inside, local Hawaii design touches give the home its own character, from a custom wood bar table to a charming mural in the dining room. The master suite has a king bed plus a single bed, and two more bedrooms each come with a queen. The fourth bedroom is set up for extra flexibility, with a full bed, a twin trundle, and a sleeper sofa - comfortably sleeping up to 10 guests across the home. Guests have access to the Mauna Olu Estates community pool and gym, and the private, fenced backyard has a gas and charcoal grill with outdoor seating for meals outside. The home offers parking for up to four vehicles, with one space in the garage and three in the driveway. With mountain views, island-inspired design details, and plenty of room to spread out, this home is well suited to a family reunion or several families traveling together who want their own space under one roof. We had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this property. The gated community provides excellent comfort and the home is brand new and in perfect condition. Plenty of beach toys and coolers provided so no need to buy anything. We went to the Koalina lagoon not far away and was a trip to remember.

Sunset Retreat was perfect for our family of eight. The neighborhood has excellent views and is very quiet. Our house was four bedrooms and three and a half baths, clean and well equipped. There was even beach equipment in the garage. Kerstan and Jerrell are excellent hosts. I highly recommend Kalo Homes Sunset Retreat for an Oahu getaway!

This home was accurately described. We had folks in every room, with no complaints from anyone. The rack of beach gear in the garage was super handy to attack the sand. Solid kitchen for cooking. Winter in West Oahu was fun. Plenty of beaches, local shops, and a farmers market. Laid back town with Shaved ice around the corner, and supermarket nearby. It was a nice change to the bustle of Honolulu. Our hosts communicated just the right amount, enough to show they cared. We will look for these hosts next time we come to Hawaii.

Overall, very good place. Host was very kind. It would be more comfortable if we could have info about why we can not advised how to get in home and its exact locations etc. Eventually, we noticed It is probably for safety reason that is understandable. Just wished to knows it as we travel from abroad and concerned about accidents and wondering why information was limited until the last minutes. All those said, I recommend any one to stay here!! Thank you.

We loved our stay in Mahaka valley. The home is in a gated community and is very nice. Beaches are a couple miles away. We liked the more quiet and rural setting In Mahaka. The home came equipped with everything we needed, and more for our family. The beach chairs, tent, and cooler were a nice touch. We loved our stay and highly recommend this location! Mahalo!
